When conflict arises in the workplace it is often down to entrenched ways of thinking and the inability of one person to see the other person's perspective. In these cases it can lead to grievances being raised or conflict when a manager is legitimately trying to performance manage an individual.
Sometimes the grievances that are raised are completely legitimate but the person who is being complained about has no understanding of what it is they are doing or why it is causing such a problem. The common assumption is "well I think this way so everyone else should see it the same". However, we don't all think the same way and we do see things very differently from others and from time to time this causes conflict and anxiety for individuals.
An NLP Coach is trained not only in coaching but also in behavioural change techniques and in this way he can provide much more help than a conventional coach, gently helping the person to see the truth of the situation, to see different perspectives and to show them alternatives. The onus is always on the individual as they will only change if they can see the value in it. The role of the Coach is to help them to see the options so they can make an informed choice.
