Handling Redundancies
It is regrettable but at some time during trading you may have to consider reducing the headcount in your organisation.
Many small businesses do not realise the implications of failing to follow a proper procedure and often just choose the person or people they want to terminate. When they get a Tribunal claim form land on their desk they wonder what went wrong.
There are different rules which need to be applied if you are making under 19 people redundant, between 20- 99 people, and over 100 people. Is it any wonder that it is confusing?
