From 6 April 2008, the following legislative developments took effect:-
- Statutory Sick Pay increased to £75.40 per week.
- Statutory maternity, paternity and adoption pay increased to £117.18 per week.
- National
Insurance Contributions thresholds and limits are altered. The new
lower and upper earnings limits are £90 and £770 respectively. The
primary and secondary thresholds are now set at £105.
